Terms of Service

Last updated: April 20, 2026

By using RedirectChecker ("the service") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. These terms are intentionally short — we aim to be a fair and transparent tool.

1. The service

RedirectChecker lets you submit URLs to trace their redirect chains and HTTP status codes. It is provided free of charge on an "as is" basis. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use RedirectChecker to:

  • Probe, scan, or attack internal networks, private IP ranges, or systems you do not own or have permission to test (SSRF protections are in place and bypass attempts are prohibited).
  • Conduct denial-of-service attacks, overwhelm third-party sites, or otherwise abuse the redirect-checking endpoint at high volume.
  • Submit URLs containing personal data, credentials, or other sensitive information as query parameters (they may be stored in our system).
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or resell the service without written permission.
  • Violate any applicable law or third-party rights.

We may rate-limit, block, or revoke access at our discretion if we detect abuse.

3. Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us.

4. User-submitted content

URLs you submit, and the resulting redirect chains, may be stored and displayed on shareable result pages. Don't submit anything you don't want captured in a public result page.

5. Intellectual property

The RedirectChecker name, logo, and site design are ours. You may link to the site freely. You may not misrepresent yourself as affiliated with or endorsed by RedirectChecker.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Results should be independently verified for security-critical decisions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, RedirectChecker and its maintainers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RedirectChecker and its maintainers from any claim arising out of your violation of these terms or misuse of the service.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Significant changes will be announced on the homepage. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the maintainer resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
